EPIC Bellroy Tokyo Totepack Review » Nomads Nation

Not much going on here, but what’s here is thoughtfully done.

The shoulder straps are comfortable, thin but padded just right for a 14L pack. There’s a G-hook system to stow them away, though it’s a bit fiddly. Once stowed, the bag becomes a clean-looking tote.

The no-dangle adjustment system is a highlight. It keeps your straps tidy, clean, and professional with no loose ends. The metal hardware here adds a subtle premium feel. It doesn’t just improve function; it elevates the entire visual experience of carrying the bag.

You’ll also notice a small nylon band running down each strap, adding some style points while also acting as a mini grab or clip point. Bellroy leans into sleekness and simplicity, and the back panel is proof. Everything feels intentional.

As expected from Bellroy, no back ventilation. That’s part of their design philosophy, simplicity first. But it may cause discomfort in hot, humid environments. Especially if you tend to walk or bike with your pack, the lack of airflow could be a problem. Still, for quick commutes or AC-to-AC movement, it’s manageable.
