The Forge’s body is built from Cordura Re-Core RN66 nylon, which feels durable and looks sharp. The tradeoff is that it can pick up dust, dirt, and hair, something we have pointed out while handling it.
The sides of the bag stay simple and minimal, offering lash points for attaching accessories. However, there is no built-in water bottle holder, which means bottles must go inside or attach with modular straps.
The travel compartment is where this bag shows its flexibility. One side is clean and spacious, making it ideal for packing cubes and clothing, and it’s also the area that expands out to 30 liters.
The opposite side is more complex in layout, with mesh sleeves, zippered pockets, and a tablet slot. We felt it had more compartments than necessary, which made it slightly over-engineered for packing.
Even so, he managed to pack five to seven days of clothes, a dop kit, a tripod, a charger, a tote, and a Bluetooth speaker. Fully expanded, the space felt closer to 32–33 liters, proving more capable than the listed size.
