Aryan Khan’s directorial debut web series, The Ba*Ds Of Bollywood, has received rave reviews from audiences since its release on Netflix. As a first-time director, Aryan Khan has proven that he surpassed any star-kid tag with his hard work and talent. However, amid the show’s success, rumors began to circulate that Aryan didn’t direct himself, but rather that a ghost director or writer played a key role.
What did Ba***ds Of Bollywood actor Anya Singh say about Aryan Khan?
Series star Anya Singh responded candidly to these rumors. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said that people often look for excuses to criticize others, but Aryan deserves all his success. In her words: “I feel people just want an opportunity to bring another person down. That’s why I say he is so deserving of every good thing everyone is saying about him. He has worked really hard on this project. From 7 in the morning to 11 PM, his energy never dropped. You never saw him sigh. He was always smiling and so focussed.”
Anya further explained that Aryan remained determined in his vision, which is why he chose to work with young writers and DOPs instead of experienced technicians. She said, “He is a young guy who stuck by his vision. It was very brave of him to do this. He knew there’d be conversations and chatter, but he did not question his vision at any point. I have a lot of respect for how he has stood by his own thoughts. During the filming of the series, Aryan did another interesting thing, he kept the climax completely secret. Anya explained, “We never read the climax. We were told the climax on the day of the shoot. For months, we didn’t know what the climax was.”

The series is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and written by Aryan Khan along with Bilal Siddiqui and Manav Chauhan. Lakshya Lalwani plays the lead role, while Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, and Karan Johar will also be seen in important roles.
