Aneet’s next streaming project, titled Nyaya, is directed by Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia. Many questioned why a breakout performer from one of the biggest recent movies would make the move to the small screen so quickly.
Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday became overnight sensations in Bollywood. Saiyaara, their debut movie, has been a huge success and has sparked new enthusiasm and passion among both the industry and viewers. Rumours started to circulate that Aneet’s next project would be an OTT release amid the film’s overwhelming popularity. Many questioned why a breakout performer from one of the biggest recent movies would make the move to the small screen so quickly, sparking debate among fans.
Aneet Padda to next star in THIS OTT movie
Aneet’s next streaming project, titled Nyaya, is directed by Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia. A trade source, cited by TOI said, “Aneet is a big screen heroine for YRF. Nyaya was shot before she signed ‘Saiyaara’ and it has no bearing on her career trajectory as a theatrical heroine going forward. A girl who is delivering probably a INR 400 crore hit in theatres, is a true Gen Z star at the age of just 22, will be preserved for theatricals”.
“There are huge plans to make her the face of a generation and that can be achieved only by consolidating her theatrical equity”, the source added.
Aneet’s next was shot before Saiyaara?
Although it is true that her next project will be available on streaming platform, the other side of the story is that the project was already in development and shot before Saiyaara, but the schedules of the projects caused the release dates to change, and Saiyaara was released first.
Saiyaara maintains strong box office run
At a time when Bollywood looks to be struggling at the box office, Saiyaara has become an unexpected smash. The movie, which had two first-time actors, made an astounding Rs 21.5 crore at the box office. The movie is doing well at the box office and is continuing its run of collections as it begins its second week in theatres on Monday.
Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, has accomplished something that, until recently, appeared unattainable. He gave two stars, revived Bollywood at the box office, restored the essence of contemporary traditional Bollywood music, and demonstrated that love tales are timeless for the Indian subcontinent. The movie has made Rs 326 crore worldwide so far, according to industry tracker.
