Read further to know what Akshay Kumar’s son Aarav wants to do and if he’s also going to join the film industry and follow in the Bollywood actor’s footsteps.
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has two kids – a son, Aarav, and a daughter, Nitara. While his daughter is still young, his son Aarav just turned 23. Recently, Akshay shared a birthday photo with Aarav, and fans couldn’t help but wonder if Aarav would make his Bollywood debut, given how handsome he looks. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Akshay himself addressed this question about whether his kids would work in the film industry. Chitra Tripathi asked Akshay about his bond with his children and also raised the question if, after Ahaan Pandey’s debut, Aarav might join the film industry. Akshay gave a clear answer: his kids don’t want to be a part of films.
He shared, “I’m more of a friend to my son than just a father. He’s 23 now, has grown up so fast, and is still studying at university. He’s focused on his education and has no bad habits. All he does is study. And I’m not saying this because he’s my son, but he genuinely spends his entire day studying. He’s more like his mom Twinkle than me in that way.”
When asked if Aarav would ever join the film industry, Akshay replied, “No, he doesn’t want to and he won’t. He doesn’t have any interest in it, and I admire that. He told me very clearly that he doesn’t want to come into films. I’ve even told him about our family’s film production business, but he’s not interested.”
So, what does Aarav want to do instead?
Akshay explained, “He’s interested in fashion and wants to be a designer. He’s studying fashion right now and is happy in that world. I would love for him to join films and manage our production business, but if he’s not interested, I’m happy with whatever he chooses.
Akshay also shared a personal experience from his own life, reflecting on how his father had similar plans for him. “My father wanted me to go into accounts and become a CA because he was an accountant. But I wasn’t interested. I wanted to pursue martial arts. I wanted to be the next Bruce Lee and teach martial arts. My father eventually understood and said, ‘Okay, just finish your 11th and 12th, and then do whatever you want.’ So, I somehow passed 12th and went on to learn martial arts.”
Akshay’s story shows how important it is to support children in following their own dreams, just like he is doing with Aarav.
