The 71st National Film Awards were announced today (August 1). Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has won two big awards.
The 71st National Film Awards announcement has been the most awaited one. Everyone has been waiting to know which movies will win and which stars will get honoured for their performances. The announcement is finally done. We have the winners of the 71st National Film Awards. This year, a lot of brilliant performances have won. Shah Rukh Khan has won the Best Actor in a leading role award for his performance in Jawan. The superstar is sharing the award with Vikrant Massey, who won it for his performance in 12th Fail. Rani Mukerji won the Best Actress in a leading role award for Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway. Apart from these, we have many other winning big awards.
Karan Johar pens a sweet note
Karan Johar‘s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has won a big award. The film has won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment Award. Vaibhavi Merchant has won the Best Choreography Award for the film. On this big win, Karan shared a post expressing his feelings.
He wrote, “It feels surreal, 2 years on… to receive so much love for a film that we put so much love in. To have everyone across the world resonate so deeply, that they choose to call the story, the music, the characters, the dance and everything – their OWN! My deepest gratitude once again to the #NationalFilmAwards for having #RockAurRaniKiiPremKahaani receive this honour for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.”
He further thanked Vaibhavi Merchant for her choreography. He added, “And my biggest love & hugs to @vaibhavi.merchant and her team for giving us the Best Choreography for Dhindhora Baje Re! I’m a happy man today, and I will remain forever grateful for this Fun fact – it feels magical to win the same award as you did for your first film, again #RRKPK”
