In conversation with Pinkvilla, Adrija spoke about casting couch experiences, controversies surrounding Anupamaa and her bond with Rupali.

Adrija has worked in several shows, including Bengali TV shows. She said that she experienced the casting couch during her initial phase of her career. Adrija said that the journey has not been a bed of roses, and it is a real issue. She continued saying that she truly hopes the industry continues to evolve into a safer space for everyone.

Adrija plays Rupali Ganguly’s on-screen daughter in Anupamaa and the two share a strong bond off-screen. She praised Rupali and said that she is an absolute gem and likes her own. She said that Rupali from day one made her feel welcome and there is no ego, no senior-junior energy—just warmth and guidance. Adrijia said that over time, their bond has only grown stronger. She said tht they laugh, chat and confide in each other. She called herself lucky to have Rupali around her as a co-actor and a friend.

Adrija said that every set has its ups and downs—it’s like a family. She said that there can be misunderstandings or stress due to tight schedules, but for her, nothing major or controversial. She said that she always focused on her work and tried to stay away from unnecessary noise.
Talking about the current plot of Anupamaa, Rahi decides to exit the dance competition after reaching the finale. She feels that everyone thinks that she is staying under the shadow of Anu and can dance gracefully because of her.
