Legendary singer Zubeen Garg was cremated in Kamarkuchi, Sonapur, with Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Pabitra Margherita representing the Prime Minister, Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary, former Chief Minister and Cabinet Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and other dignitaries paying their final respects.
Zubeen Garg’s last rites were performed Kamarkuchi, Sonapur. His favourite song “Mayabini” was played in the background. There were emotional moments everywhere as Assam mourned the loss of its favourite musician, highlighting the deep bond between Zubeen and his fans. Everybody who came to pay their last respects was deeply affected by the moment, which captured his family’s personal sorrow as well as the public’s love.

Garima Garg joined hands in prayer with a sad heart when she witnessed her husband Zubeen Garg on the pyre in Kamarkuchi, Sonapur. She gave an emotional farewell to the music icon of Assam in the presence of thousands of her admirers, relatives, and friends. The scene was a depiction of the deepest loss of a woman who has lost her soul mate, and the state was mourning over the death of a great artist whose voice and power had touched millions.
