Baan Nimbus
Baan Nimbus comprises eight themed rooms, each named after a Thai flower and designed to host one to four guests. Every room features an en-suite bathroom, intimate verandahs, along with antiques that Tukie has collected from Thailand and India, locally-crafted furniture and decor. Large windows frame rolling hills, forested valleys, and coffee plantations, filling each room with natural light and ventilation.

Open spaces flow naturally throughout the property. Shaded verandahs, leafy courtyards, and the pool in a quiet corner, offer perfect spots for reflection or leisurely reading. The dining area, tucked into the heart of the homestay, becomes a natural gathering spot where meals are shared, stories exchanged, and the fusion of Malnad and Thai culture comes alive.

Sustainability is thoughtfully woven into every aspect of Baan Nimbus. Rainwater harvesting ensures a year-round supply, discreet solar panels supplement energy needs, and lighting is designed to minimise light pollution. Tukie explains, “We follow a low-impact tourism approach and maintain a near-zero policy towards plastic, ensuring that our footprint on the land is as gentle as possible.” A vegetable garden supplies fresh produce, including bamboo shoots and seasonal leafy vegetables. “We also microfinance the local community to produce vegetables, which in turn we buy and use in Baan Nimbus. This is our small contribution towards helping the locals.”
