Korean actress Im Yoona is enjoying yet another career high with the success of her latest Netflix series, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. After the popularity of her 2023 drama King The Land, Yoona has once again topped viewership charts, this time alongside co-star Lee Chae-Min in a fresh mix of historical, fantasy, and romance. The show’s unique plot has won hearts everywhere. Yoona plays Yeon Ji-Young, a modern-day, French-trained chef who time travels to the Joseon Dynasty. There, she finds herself cooking for a fearsome but food-loving king, Yi-Heon. In an interview with Allkpop, Yoona shared her reaction to the show’s popularity: “Since the ratings have been good every episode, I’ve been surprised every day. I didn’t expect such a huge response,” she said.
The ending was emotional and hopeful, with a sweet reunion that many fans called “wholesome.” But not everyone was satisfied ; the twist involving King Yi-Heon showing up in modern-day Seoul left some viewers wanting more answers.

When asked about a possible continuation, Yoona said: “I haven’t heard anything about season 2 yet.
