Karan Tacker, one of the most versatile actors in the entertainment industry, first came to prominence with his role as Viren Singh Vadhera in the television show Ek Hazaaron Mrin Meri Behna Hai. Tacker has had an impressive career in the Indian television industry for more a decade. Now the actor has also made a niche in Bollywood and OTT respectively. Currently, basking in the success of Special Ops 2 and Tanvi the Great, the actor has proved his capabilities as an actor. Recently, in an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, Karan Tacker has talked about his recent success and how it feels like to have two projects release on the same day. For the unversed, Tanvi the Great and Special Ops 2 both released on July 18.
The actor has given powerful dual performances in Tanvi and Secial Ops 2. When asked about how does it feel to have two projects releasing on the same day, Karan said, “Honestly, mere sath kabhi esa hua nehi hai to have two releases on the same day. While it sounds very cool, I was actually very nervous. As an actor, iccha toh yehi hoti hai to have sprinkle out your releases through the year, especially jab mere last do saal ka kaam hai. But it was very interesting to have two releases on the same day because while I was walking the red carpet of the premiere of Tanvi the Great, I knew that at the end of the day, in the evening Special Ops is also dropping. So it was a nice feeling and both have been received very well. Everyone has showered a lot of love for the film as well as Special Ops. I am really happy to be the part of both as an actor.”
How Karan Tacker chooses his projects?
The actor was also asked about how does he choose a project of which he wants to be a part of. To this, Karan replied, “It’s always the script.” The actor continued, “When you read the script, you start visualising a world and if that world connects with you, I think that becomes a natural understanding of if you want to do that project or not. So for me it’s always have been reading the material. That’s why as an actor I have been always insistent on reading rather than getting a narration, and than ofcourse you want to meet the director, vibe with the director to know if both of us are on the same page and take it from there.”
Meanwhile, given Saiyaara’s huge success, Karan was asked how would he define romance for GenZs. The actor humourously replied, “I would be the wrong person to define romance for GenZs because I am a millennial. But in general I am so happy that romantic films are back, romantic music is back. I have myself been totally tripping over the title track of Saiyaara. I love this genre.”
The actor laughs and continues, “It would sound funny but isme ek dard hota hai pain hota hai, wo dekhne mein maza aata hai because reality aisi hai na. Love is not easy, love is tough- to really fight for your partner, the love that you share. So, I love this genre.”

When asked if he would be interested to be a part of movies dealing with the romance genre, Karan said, “I would love to, there is no denying that I would love to go back into certain amount of romance because that’s how I have started my career as an actor and its something that i totally love watching.”
