Rasika Dugal has started filming Mirzapur: The Film in Mumbai for its first schedule. She will return as the witty and mischievous Beena Tripathi in the series’ cinematic adaption. While Rasika was unavailable, a source, cited by TOI, who is close to the actress shared, “Rasika has prepped for the role really well and slipped back into Beena’s world with ease. There’s a lot of anticipation to see the entire cast come together, but what’s exciting is how impactful her role is shaping up to be. From everything we’ve seen so far, it feels like Beena Tripathi will bring something never seen before in the Mirzapur universe.”

Excitement is growing as production begins, and fans are keen to watch how Mirzapur’s world develops on the screen.
Rasika Dugal Wants to play Amrita Pritam
Earlier, while talking about her dream roles, Rasika told the media portal, “If given a chance, I would love to recreate the roles played by Meena Kumari in Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam (1962) and Sridevi in Chaalbaaz (1989). I am also craving to be in a biopic. As a performer, I find the genre fascinating and very challenging as it requires you to tap into the inner life of someone people already know about. If I had to do a biopic, I hope to be in one that is centred on the writer-poet Amrita Pritam.”
Mirzapur: The Film cast
The famous Mirzapur series also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu Sharma, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, and Amit Sial.
The film adaptation of the series is reportedly scheduled for a 2026 release.

Speaking about the actress, Rasika began her career on screen alongside Anwar in 2007 and thereafter starred in highly praised films such as Manto, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, Hamid, Qissa, and No Smoking. She became well-known for her role as Beena Tripathi in the 2018 launch of the Mirzapur franchise. Following that, she gave a number of excellent performances in films including OK Computer, Made in Heaven, Delhi Crime, Out of Love, and A Suitable Boy.
