The laptop space in the V2 finally gets the love it deserves. This upgraded compartment features a legitimate false bottom, giving your device crucial elevation off the ground. It’s a simple addition, but one that drastically improves protection during accidental drops.
Inside, you’ll also find a magnetic divider, which creates extra storage slots for your charger, cables, or accessories. It fits a 16” MacBook Pro comfortably, though if you’re packing bulkier tech or gear, it can start to feel a little tight.
Luggage Pass-Through and Lash Points
If you travel often, the vertical luggage pass-through is a welcome touch. It slides neatly over suitcase handles, keeping your pack upright and secure. The fit is snug—great for staying flush against your back—but might be a squeeze on chunkier handles.
You’ll also find a few external lash points that give you a bit of modular flexibility, whether you’re clipping on accessories or hanging quick-grab items.
Shoulder Straps and Back Panel
Sympl didn’t hold back when it came to the carry comfort. The shoulder straps are seriously chunky—dense foam, breathable mesh, and a contoured shape make long hauls a breeze. Dangle stoppers and a sternum strap round out the harness for added stability.
The back panel, however, is firmer and less ventilated than some competitors. It’s fine for most use cases, but if you’re trekking through steamy city streets or hot summer days, you might notice the lack of airflow.
