Troubadour Apex Travel Backpack Review (HONEST Pros & Cons)

Spread the love

The Troubadour Apex Travel Backpack is the company’s first official entry into the travel category. After testing it with the perspective of having reviewed over 500 backpacks, I wanted to see if it could stand out. This bag arrives with promise, style, and a fair share of surprises.

From the start, you notice the expandable design that moves from 33 liters to 42 liters. That kind of flexibility is unusual for a sleek, premium-looking pack. It instantly makes the Apex different from many of its competitors.

The bag also leans heavily into sophisticated styling. With clean lines, premium fabrics, and vegan leather details, it aims to be more than just functional. Troubadour clearly wanted this pack to look as sharp as it performs.

But it is not without its quirks. Testing showed the real capacity of the main compartment to be smaller than the advertised 33 liters, closer to 26 or 27 liters. Expanded, it climbs to about 40 liters, which brings it closer to its claims.

Overall, the Apex feels like a travel backpack designed for people who want style, laptop safety, and expansion in one package. It is polished and practical, but also raises questions about comfort and long-term durability.
