Although the Folio Slim looks compact, its capacity is better than expected. Both compartments are secured with PU coated YKK zippers, which feel strong and resist light rain. The trade-off is that they are a bit noisy and the coating may peel over time.
The first clamshell compartment focuses on organization with mesh zip pockets, soft slip sleeves, multiple zippers, and a key leash. The interior fabric stands out most with a burnt orange lining that is bright and classy. However, the mesh feels cheap for the bag’s premium price.
In the second compartment, you find sleeves for a tablet and laptop lined with soft microfiber. A 13 inch MacBook fits perfectly, while a 16 inch MacBook squeezes in more tightly. Larger 17 inch laptops technically slide in but press against the edges uncomfortably.
When fully packed, the Slim handled headphones, pouches, chargers, glasses, and even a hoodie. The layout gives more space than expected for such a small size. This balance of organization and capacity makes the bag more versatile than it first appears.
There is no external water bottle pocket, but smaller bottles can fit inside the lining sleeves. With careful packing, the squared shape allows the Folio to stand upright on its own. This stability is useful, though it depends on what you load at the base.
