Yuzvendra Chahal in his latest interview spoke at length about his divorce with Dhanashree Verma. He revealed what went wrong in their relationship.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma‘s much publicised divorce remained in news for a long time. The star cricketer and his ex-wife got divorced in February this year. For a long time, fans kept predicting and speculating the reason behind their spilt. After months of their divorce, Yuzvendra Chahal has now finally opened up on the divorce and has spoken about a lot of things including his bond with rumoured GF RJ Mahvash and his t-shirt that read ‘Find your own sugar daddy’.
Yuzvendra Chahal opens on reason behind split with Dhanashree Verma
In a podcast with Raj Shamani, Yuzvendra Chahal spoke at length about his divorce with Dhanashree Verma. He mentioned that things had turned sour a long time ago but the couple decided to not reveal anything until everything was finalised. “It had been going on for a while but we decided that we don’t want to show the world what’s happening until something gets finalised,” he said. The ace cricketer was asked if he was ‘faking’ relationship with Dhanashree Verma toward the end, he nodded affirmative. He explained that not being able to give time to each other was one of the main reasons why their relationship did not work. Yuzvendra mentioned that he was busy with the matches and Dhanashree was busy with her work. He said, “Chal hi raha tha do ek saal se (It was going for about 1-2 years).” He also recalled his last conversation with Dhanashree Verma and mentioned that they spoke only if they had to discuss about the divorce proceedings.

During the podcast, Yuzvendra Chahal also spoke about the bond with RJ Mahvash. He shared that he faced difficult time post the divorce with all the chatter around their separation. He mentioned that his friends including RJ Mahvash helped him sail through the tough time. He spoke about facing anxiety and depression post divorce. He added that he did not want to bother his family with it, so his friends helped him during this period.
